With the use of a Maglite (supplied) this magnifier allows you to easily identify the small marks (or 'Impressions') on the key. The Maglite slides into the magnifier and the key is then inserted into the viewing area. With the light cast across the top of the blade the impressions are easy to see and therefore work from.
