These ingenious 'Profile Impressioners' - which I've also heard called 'profile maps' are a neat little tool to help you make an impression of whatever profile you wish and keep a record (on the tool) until you can check it against whatever you're checking. You simply untighten the screws on the back, insert your key, push in the 'reading rods' either side and lock the nuts. Remove the key and you have an exact replica of the profile. Do up the nuts and you can take it home/workshop etc and match it up. A lovely bit of kit this - I've been playing with it for hours. Once you get the hang of it it's quite amazing.

As usual, you won't find these in the UK better priced and they are a tool you'll find yourself using so much you'll wonder how you did without one. I'm really excited by these and I know you will be too. A great tool
