Designed for the picking of Non-Curtained mortice locks, OVERLIFTERS remain a classic tool and a standard in any locksmiths tool kit. Like all good Non Destructive Entry tools the principle is simple. The thin arm of the pick exerts tension on the bolt while the larger flag-like arm raises the entire lever pack to it's maximum level - hence 'overlifitng'. As the tension is gradually released, the levers fall down into the 'unlocked' position, allowing you to re-exert tension onto the bolt and open the lock. Whilst these picks won't work on all Non-Curtained mortice locks they work on a wide enough variety to make them an exceptionally effective and useful tool the working locksmith cannot do without. methods to overcome such locks. Available here in both 6 gauge and 7 gauge, these RB Locktools OVERLIFTERS are of the highest quality. There are both Left and Right OVERLIFTERS which you use depending on what side of the lock you are picking from.
