We sampled a few different vices before we settledwith this one. We looked at vacuum based ones, large and small and different levels of articulation. We decided the criteria was simple - it had to be able to firmly hold both pin and mortice locks with enough solidity to withstand bumping, raking, snap-guns, raking etc. It also had to be good value for money.

The vice attaches to a table or worktop with a screw clamp and offers excellent non-damaging hold with it's hard rubber jaws. The jaws are on an adjustable swivel which allows you to place it wherever you want it. We've used this vice ever since it arrived, it's small enough to have permentantly set-up at arms reach without being intrusive - perfect for lock-picking addicts everywhere.
