Dangerfield 3 Lever Try-Out Keys - 15 Piece Lever Lock Skeleton Keys

A Must-Have Mortice Lock Tool For Locksmiths

LASER-CUT - not Punched or Molded like inferior versions.

You'll see plenty of reviews for other try-out keys with words like 'cheap metal' and 'flimsy' - This is NOT the case with ours. These are made from High Yield 301 steel - and individually laser-cut, not punched/stamped/molded like inferior versions that use cheap metal, have burs, sharp edges, and badly formed picking tips, which impede function.

THREE LEVER Mortice locks are found all over the UK. Mainly used on internal or rear doors, these locks often pose a problem since making new keys is both time consuming and expensive, and with literally hundreds of designs and brands, picking them can be an unnecessary waste of time, especially since the Try-Out keys can open locks in as little as ten seconds - certainly under a minute once you've got used to them.

"Three Lever Try-Out keys are gold-dust to a locksmith, easy to use and extremely quick"

- J Adams (Locksmith)

Using Try-Out keys couldn't be easier. Each 'key' is numbered and you simply work through them until the lock is open. You insert the key upside-down, to engage the levers directly, give them a jiggle and you'll find they open many locks as quick as the proper key. Locksmiths report a success rate of around 90% using Try-Out keys which is amazing for a tool that's so simple to use.

Another benefit of Try-Out Keys is they aren't affected by seized-up, old, or locks that have become tight due to the door expanding over time. although a bit of WD40 in the lock often helps. And of course, there's no trouble with tension tools such as you might have with a 2 in 1 pick, if the door frame obstructs using the tool.

"The best set of 3 Lever Try-Out Keys I've ever used. As soon as you see them you can tell they're of a higher quality than all the other sets"

- P Holmes (Locksmith)

Another issue with using 2 in 1 picks, the amount of tension required often causes you to bend and/or damage your pick. None of that hassle with our 3 Lever Try-Out Keys.

Our Try-Out Keys are individually laser-cut, not punched/molded like the other sets on the market. Being laser-cut, they are more consistent, have a far smaller tolerance range, and because of that have improved functionality. They even look better - meaning you'll see the higher quality as soon as you receive them.
