GOSO Dedicated Dimple Picks

Note - items may vary slightly from the selection shown although this photo is usually about right.

There’s a lot of talk at the moment of various Dedicated Dimple Pick Sets, all with their own differences and similarities. One of the least favourable similarities being cost, with some of the sets being touted around for and above £90! As usual we thought we could do better on this and sourced this interesting set of dedicated dimple picks.
What you get is what you see, an interesting take on the dimple problem by way of ‘lever-like’ picks that you insert and turn. Specially formed to ‘run the grooves’ of a wide range of dimple locks and therefore be ‘placed’ ready to ‘tilt & turn’ (this is the name we’ve given to the technique these picks lend themselves to).

The wrenches at first seem a bit heavy-handed but are strangely appropriate for the job and although we initially opted for our SouthOrd wrenches, soon decided the strangeness of the wrenches suited the strangeness of the picking action, funny that!
This is an interesting set that will undoubtedly equip the dimple lock picker with a new range of tools for his chosen frustration. As you can see in the picture each set comes complete with various ‘screw-in’ picks (double ended holder (pictured) supplied) as well as some really nice ‘finger-paddle’ type picks which have a really nice feel when in use.
One of the picks is a dimple rake!  Although nowhere near as successful as when raking standard pin-tumblers, it’s very good for getting a couple of pins out of the way before you start picking proper.
You won’t find a set of dimple picking tools as quirky, useful, and value for money as these and UK Bump Keys is more than happy to add them to our list.
