Learn electric picking with the KLOM, spare needles and the Visual Guide
The KLOM Electric Pick Gun PLUS is a lively, affordable way to learn electric picking, and the needles are the part that works hardest. This kit adds a 10-pack of Dangerfield 0.6 mm Pro Strength needles, so a bent or snapped needle never ends a practice session, and the Beginners Visual Guide, so you can see exactly what the pins are doing while the gun does the lifting.
Buy all three together and save 10% on the separate prices.
What's in the kit
KLOM Electric Pick Gun PLUS
An electric pick gun in a hard carry case with its chucks and tools. The chuck vibrates the needle so the pins jump under light tension instead of being lifted one at a time.
Dangerfield 0.6 mm pick gun needles
Ten Pro Strength replacement needles in 301 hardened steel, kept in their own case. The 0.6 mm profile is the thicker Dangerfield option, built to stand up to regular use.
Lock Picking: The Beginners Visual Guide
The paperback edition, with 176 pages and over 190 full-colour illustrations showing pin stacks, the shear line and tension, so you understand what the gun is doing inside the lock.
How to practise with an electric pick gun
- Start on a practice cylinder you can already open by hand, so you're only learning the gun's variables: needle position, tension and trigger timing.
- Fit a needle, set the needle swing low, then slide it under the pins with a tension tool in the bottom of the keyway.
- Apply light turning pressure and use short trigger bursts. Too much tension binds the pins and too much swing snaps needles, so build both up slowly.
Why buy the kit
Most electric pick gun frustration comes from running out of good needles halfway through learning. With ten spare Dangerfield blades in the case, you can keep practising, compare how the thicker needle feels against the originals and swap a damaged tip straight away. The Visual Guide shows you why light tension matters so much, which is the skill that decides whether an electric pick gun opens a lock. The kit also costs less than buying the three items separately. For even more practice, add the 0.5 mm needle pack as well.
Use pick guns only on locks you own or have clear permission to work on.
