Volkswagon Audi Group (VAG)*

Previously, the HU66 pick would work on nearly ALL VAG group cars.

However, VAG group started to use the three HU162 range (see below) in 2015 so from 2015 onwards any HU66 Lock could be the original HU66 Lishi or any of the three HU162 Lishi’s below, up until 2021.

Now any VAG car from 2021 is the HU162 series only but there could be the odd few late registration cars about that might still have the HU66 lock.

In short, they’ve tried to increase security by making the auto locksmith require all four picks to be sure of an open, the three below and the original HU66, although that will definitely be phased out in the coming years, while still being installed in many vehicles made before these changes)
